It is a way for me to get-to-know-you ahead of the shoot. I'll make sure to have your playlist ready-to-go + a pose gallery that fits your needs.

Every $50 mini-session includes:

• 30 minutes at my Seattle studio
• One outfit
• Gentle direction and posing guidance (I am here to make you feel comfortable!)
• 6 professionally edited digital images
• Private online gallery via Pixieset
• Print release for personal use
• A sneak peek of 3 images within 48 hours

Full gallery within 14 days of your session, delivered via a private Pixieset link. I'll also send a sneak peek of 3 favorites within 48 hours so you have something to sit with while I finish editing.

I've been taking photos for years. After high school I would take my friends out on "photoshoots" with my Canon T3i with silly pictures of us in the woods and at the shopping mall near my house in Florida. I continued this in college, and focused on street + travel photography for a while. However, I love love love taking portraits, and I am coming back to my roots.

I love portrait and travel photography, and find myself drawn to bringing out the best in people. A really good portrait of you may become your slack & instagram profile picture for years to come, and it makes you feel awesome! I want to be the person who can make that happen for you.

This year (2026), I decided to fully commit to photography and transform my hobby into a business. As I build out my portfolio, I am offering introductory rates despite my years of experience.

Whatever makes you feel like you. Solid colors and soft textures photograph beautifully. Unless you are going for a particular look, avoid busy patterns, big logos, and neon (they compete with your beautiful face). However, just let me know if you want a more creative shoot and happy to make that happen for you. I can give feedback on outfit options before your session too.

Of course! A partner, best friend, or hype person is welcome. Just give me a heads up so I know to expect them. If you want them in the photos too, that's a different kind of session (couples/friends), give me a heads up hello@alyssacaplesphotography.com and we'll chat. I will need them to sign a model release even if it is for one or two photos.

Sessions are held at my indoor Seattle studio, so weather isn't usually a factor. If we're planning an on-location shoot, we'll reschedule at no cost.

I shoot out of a home studio in Seattle. I'll share the exact address after booking. Free parking nearby.

The $50 mini-session includes permission for me to use your images in my portfolio and marketing. That's part of what keeps the price accessible while I build my business. If there are specific images you'd prefer I not share, we can discuss.

Yes! Personal use, personal social media, LinkedIn, dating profiles, professional headshots, and your own small-business promotional use are all included. What's not included: reselling the images, licensing them to brands, using them in advertising campaigns with big media spend, or listing them on UGC platforms, reach out if that's what you have in mind and we'll work out a separate license.

Yes! I print in-studio on archival paper with pigment ink (via my Epson SureColor P8550). Add-ons:

• 8x10 archival print — $25
• 5x7 archival print — $15

Reschedule up to 48 hours before your session at no cost. Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows forfeit the full session fee. If I have to cancel (illness, unforeseen circumstance), you'll get a full refund or a rescheduled date at no cost.
